In addition to the impressive six-stage music program this year, the Sea Dance Festival that takes place from 30 August to 01 September 2019 at Buljarice Beach in Budva, Montenegro, will also offer visitors a range of interesting cultural contents, programmes and zones. With the expansion of the festival space, a number of additional facilities will be introduced, and this year’s number of stages and zones will exceed the one held last year by six stages and over 10 different additional zones!

In line with the umbrella EXIT Tribe campaign, a major environmental mission for preservation of our planet Earth will be the backbone of this year’s social activities. The Sea Dance Festival and EXIT Foundation, in collaboration with partners, will draw the attention of visitors and the public to the natural beauty that surrounds one of the Europe’s finest summer festivals, but will also remind us of protection of the planet as the burning and most important issue of the modern times!

This year as well, within the ecological segment of the Trebjesa Brewery Festival, they will implement the “Rock & Recycle” campaign, which aims to keep the Festival space cleaner and to educate visitors about the importance of protecting the environment. Info desks will be set up at the Buljarica Beach Festival area, while promoters will reward the visitors who collect 20 used plastic cups with a campaign logo T-shirt. Fans of canned beverages will be able to be part of the artistic interactive performance of the Recan Foundation. One of the biggest environmental festival attractions of “Pixelat“, as part of the “Every can counts” programme, will also have its place at the Sea Dance Festival. All visitors to the festival will be able to participate in the making of the large mural of cans, thus contributing to the environmental protection by recycling cans. Each can will represent one pixel on this unique mural on the wall, six feet wide and two feet high. This year, for the first time, the Recan Voting Box will be set up for the audience of the Sea Dance Festival, where users will be able to choose between the two offered choices. Voting will be organised in a special way – by throwing a can in the box marked with the desired answer!

Through a series of interactive activities at its stand, “Green Culture” organisation will present the impact of culture, art, science and education on the mission of environmental protection, thus bringing the seriousness and urgency of protecting our planet closer. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience short VR films with environmental themes, to create their own banner with the message on preserving our only home, and to write their ecological appeal on the Wishes Tree. The braver will be able to climb “Speakers Corner” and express their views on the subject and publicly say how will they contribute to the protection of their environment, and the most original banner and speech will be rewarded.

UNICEF’s U-report programme also encourages young people to speak up and change the world! Their chill zone will feature a global digital platform where young people talk about issues they care about and thus bring about positive changes in their community. This activation is designed to empower young people, especially the most vulnerable among them, while aiming to involve young people in decision-making processes.

Positive vibrations to Buljarica Beach are coming from Novi Sad, thanks to the energetic team of the OPENS organisation – the youth capital of Europe. Everyone who is curious about why Novi Sad is a must-visit city, and why it won the title of European Youth Capital this year, can visit the OPENS Zone at the Sea Dance Festival and win numerous interactive contents for entertainment and win interesting prizes.

Interest in this festival, the Pearl of the Adriatic, is greater than ever, and after all the series of tickets were sold out in a record time, a new contingent of three-day packages has been released for sale for a price of 34.99 euros, which will be valid at the latest until 29 August, when the price of these tickets will jump by as much as 40%! Because of all this, the organisers decided to increase the festival space by as much as 30%, which will welcome the audience from 40 countries of the world and the biggest world stars such as David Guetta, Robin Schulz, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Ofenbach, Helena Hauff, and many others. To this star-studded line-up of over 100 performers will join the Festival’s residents, the tandem from Kotor Who See and the regional trap sensation Klinac, whose songs have collectively captured around 50 million YouTube views!

In addition to the colossal main stage, which features the powerful production of EXIT’s Dance Arena on the first night, followed by spectacular performances by Robin Schulz and David Guetta, the cult No Sleep stage is located right on the beach just next to the sea, exactly like the neighbouring TDI stage! Not far away, on the “Silent Dance” stage can be enjoyed in anything but silence, as visitors will be able to listen to more DJs, but at the same time, in their headphones, with the ability to switch from one to the other! In partnership with the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro and within the “Creative Montenegro” project, numerous young and non-established Montenegrin creators will be able to show their talents to audiences from all over the world, on even two stages called “Living Culture Music” and “Living Culture Cinema”. Besides the beautiful turquoise cove and the galaxy of world performers that will set on fire the already hot tropical evenings in Budva, one of the biggest festival attractions is the campsite nestled in dense pine and deciduous forest and a three-hundred-year-old olive grove. In addition to local and regional fans, the “Olive” camp will be the ideal destination for numerous visitors from all over the globe.
