EXIT Universe Continues Its Journey at Green Future Festival

Following its successful debut at Malomfesztivál, EXIT Universe continued its journey across the Hungary – Serbia cross-border region, bringing the story and energy of 25 years of EXIT to the Green Future Festival in Senta from 13 to 16 August. After opening its traveling journey in Orom, EXIT Universe arrived in Senta with its immersive cultural village, inviting a new audience to explore the history, music and experiences that have shaped EXIT over the past quarter of a century. At the heart of the experience once again stood the iconic EXIT Van, which served as a gateway into the festival’s history. Visitors could explore key moments from EXIT’s 25-year journey, discover the festival’s international recognition and learn more about its cultural and social impact.

At the VR Experience Zone, visitors at Green Future Festival could step directly into the world of EXIT through immersive virtual reality, spatial audio and cinematic 360° video. From the stage and backstage areas to breathtaking views over massive festival crowds, the experience offered a perspective on EXIT that goes far beyond that of a traditional festival audience. Music lovers could also revisit some of the most memorable performances in the Best Of EXIT zone, travelling through iconic moments from the Main Stage, Dance Arena and Fusion Stage. For those looking for a place to slow down and connect, the EXIT Energy Zone offered a relaxed space inspired by the atmosphere and sense of community that have always been at the heart of EXIT.

The Senta stop marked another chapter in EXIT Universe’s journey, connecting EXIT’s legacy with new audiences and communities across the region. Through technology, music and storytelling, the project continues to show how a festival can become a cultural experience that travels far beyond its original home. With its next destination already on the horizon, EXIT Universe will continue its journey to Sunset Picnic at the National Heritage Park in Ópusztaszer, Hungary, on 18 September, bringing the story of EXIT to another unique location across the border.

EXIT Universe is part of the Incredible Destinations Events project, a partnership between the EXIT Foundation and the National Heritage Park in Ópusztaszer (ONTE), Hungary, implemented with the support of the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary–Serbia.

The Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary-Serbia is implemented within the 2021-2027 European Union financial framework, under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA). On the basis of “shared management system” of the participating countries – Hungary and Serbia, the Programme funds and supports co-operation projects of organizations based in the Programme-eligible area – Hungarian counties Csongrád and Bács-Kiskun, and Serbian territories: West Bačka, North Bačka, South Bačka, North Banat, Central Banat, South Banat and Srem district. The Programme helps the development of a stable and co-operating region and the overall quality of life in the border region. It enables economic collaboration of organizations from the two countries, nurtures the common identity, and cultural and historical heritage of the border region, and contributes to its environmental sustainability and safety.
