“I’ve been told that EXIT brings together revolutionaries both on the stage and in the crowd,” said Tom Morello, adding that he had waited 33 years for his first show in Serbia. We, too, have been waiting since EXIT’s first day, as Rage Against the Machine was a catalyst for the festival’s inception.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Before his performance, the grand celebration of EXIT\u2019s 25th anniversary was announced for next year, marking a return to the State of EXIT \u2013 an artistic state of mind created by millions who have passed through the gates of Petrovaradin Fortress over the past 24 years. With the first rays of sunshine and a masterful set by Black Coffee at the mts Dance Arena, this year\u2019s EXIT came to a close. Here\u2019s a recap of the past five days of music, energy, love, and the finest festival adventure at Petrovaradin Fortress.<\/b><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s\u00a0EXIT Festival<\/b>\u00a0spanned five days, featuring performances by some of the world\u2019s biggest music stars. Opening day honored Nikola Tesla with shows by\u00a0Baby Lasagna, Burak Yeter, Dimash<\/b>, and\u00a0Iniko<\/b>. The first official festival night saw razor-sharp bars and electronic beats from trap pioneer\u00a0Gucci Mane<\/b>\u00a0and DJ legend\u00a0Carl Cox<\/b>. We continued with nostalgic dance hits by pop-rap icons\u00a0Black Eyed Peas<\/b>, a punk revival with\u00a0The Exploited<\/b>, and a signature performance at the\u00a0mts Dance Arena<\/b>\u00a0by\u00a0Maceo Plex<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The final night featured heavy guitar riffs and relentless mosh pits, coordinated by\u00a0Tom Morello<\/b>, the founder and lead songwriter of\u00a0Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave<\/b>.\u00a0Morello<\/b>\u00a0delivered an emotional performance of\u00a0\u201cLike A Stone,\u201d<\/b>\u00a0dedicated to\u00a0Chris Cornell<\/b>, and ended with the iconic\u00a0\u201cKilling in the Name,\u201d<\/b>\u00a0which resonated across the Main Stage. Simultaneously,\u00a0Barry Can\u2019t Swim<\/b>\u00a0and multiple Grammy nominee\u00a0Bonobo<\/b>\u00a0thrilled the crowd at the\u00a0mts Dance Arena<\/b>.\u00a0Sara Landry\u00a0<\/b>packed out the\u00a0NSNS Stage Refreshed by Heineken Silver<\/b>\u00a0before\u00a0Black Coffee<\/b>\u00a0provided a magical sunrise finale inside the festival\u2019s electronic music temple!\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s\u00a0EXIT<\/b>\u00a0saw parents and children enjoying the festival together, both on stage and in the audience. Three generations of the Kova\u010devi\u0107 family \u2013 EXIT founder and director Du\u0161an Kova\u010devi\u0107, his father Ilija, and his sons Lav and Noa \u2013 were present. Newcomers arrived with their parents to see the next generation\u2019s stars, including crowd favorites\u00a0Baby Lasagna, Joker Out<\/b>, and\u00a0Sam Divine<\/b>.\u00a0Tom Morello<\/b>\u00a0opened his\u00a0Tesla Universe stage<\/b>\u00a0performance with his thirteen-year-old son, guitar prodigy\u00a0Roman Morello<\/b>. Earlier,\u00a0Max Cavalera<\/b>\u00a0also performed with his son\u00a0Igor Junior<\/b>.<\/p>\n

As another magical festival pilgrimage concluded, the next historic and milestone edition began. At midnight, earlier than ever, the campaign for the festival\u2019s next edition was launched, set to take place\u00a0from July 10 to 13, 2025<\/b>, celebrating\u00a0a quarter-century of EXIT\u00a0<\/b>and reinstating the\u00a0State of EXIT<\/b>. Registration for the most affordable tickets began last night and will be open\u00a0until Friday, July 19, on the<\/b>\u00a0EXIT Festival<\/b><\/a>\u00a0website<\/b>.<\/b><\/p>\n
