The winner of the third and final phase of HMA will be presented to an international audience at a major European music festival. Also, this solo artist or band will receive promotional support and the opportunity to take their career to the next level.<\/p>\n<p>Meet the three Serbian nominees at this year\u2019s HEMI Music Awards.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Sana Gari\u0107: Electropop\/Art-Rock Band from Belgrade<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sana Gari\u0107<\/strong> is an electropop\/art-rock band from Belgrade, fronted by the keyboards and vocals of the eponymous artist. The four-member line-up also includes Miki Risti\u0107 on bass guitar, Fedja Tom Franklin on drums, and Du\u0161an Risti\u0107 on guitar. The band combines synths and psychedelic melodies with live instruments, and its music carries a nightclub groove, catchy tunes, and unrestrained electropop energy. Various influences are recognisable in Sana Gari\u0107\u2019s music, from bands like <strong>Videosex, U \u0161kripcu<\/strong>, and <strong>Denis i Denis<\/strong> to the early phase of <strong>Zana<\/strong>. However, their essential authenticity is indisputable both musically and visually. The band was formed in 2016 when they released their debut album \u201c<strong>Svet za nas<\/strong>\u201c. Their second LP, \u201c<strong>Nao\u010dare za srce<\/strong>\u201c, bringing a fresh combination of electronic and dance music genres, pop and art-rock, was released in December last year. The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Radan \u0110or\u0111evi\u0107 <strong>Rahmanee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sana Gari\u0107 - Nao\u010dare za srce (ceo album)\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UkeHud1f5K4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In addition to their work in the studio, they have had regional tours and performances at prestigious festivals such as <strong>EXIT, INmusic<\/strong> and <strong>Nisvill jazz<\/strong> <strong>festival<\/strong>. Earlier this year, they represented Serbia at the Dutch <strong>Eurosonic Noordeslag<\/strong>, one of the largest and most influential European music festivals and conferences. Frontwoman <strong>Sana Gari\u0107<\/strong> is dedicated to concert activity, cooperating with other authors and as a solo performer. She also incorporates various forms of visual art into the band\u2019s videos, which she often directs and edits.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Vizelj: Experimental Alternative Rock Band<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Vizelj<\/strong> is an experimental alternative rock band from Belgrade founded in early 2013. The four-member band includes Aleksa Nedi\u0107 (bass guitar, vocals), Veljko Milinkovi\u0107 (guitar, vocals), Pavle Petrovi\u0107 (keyboards, sampler), and Jelisaveta Todorov (drums). So far, they have released two EPs \u2013 \u201c<strong>EP #1<\/strong>\u201c from 2014 and \u201c<strong>EP #2 \u2013 Superspektakl<\/strong>\u201c from 2018, while they released their debut album \u201c<strong>Naj bolji<\/strong>\u201c in 2016. They announced their second LP with video singles \u201c<strong>Ne vidim te od dima<\/strong>\u201c and \u201c<strong>\u0160ta je stid?<\/strong>\u201c released last fall, introducing their new sound.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Vizelj - Ne vidim te od dima\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vB9w72KVIsI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>They describe their sound using three words: <strong>charged, angry, and electric<\/strong>, and anyone who has attended at least one of their performances would say the same. During their gigs, there are banknotes depicting the band members flying into the audience, while Aleksa, Veljko, and Pavle keep swapping instruments. At the show\u2019s peak, it is impossible to tell who is playing, who is using which instrument as a bat, who is in the mosh-pit, and who is on stage.<\/p>\n<p>Their talent was also recognised by the Belgrade singer-songwriter, cinematographer and producer<strong> Nikola Vranjkovi\u0107<\/strong>, who said that \u201c<strong>Vizelj<\/strong> has something that <strong>\u0160arlo Akrobata<\/strong> and early <strong>Azra<\/strong> had\u201c. Their song \u201c<strong>Nosorog<\/strong>\u201c was featured in the TV series \u201c<strong>Jutro \u0107e promeniti sve<\/strong>\u201c and a compilation published by PGP RTS. Aleksa Nedi\u0107 and Veljko Milinkovi\u0107, singers and bass\/guitar players of the band <strong>Vizelj<\/strong> are also among the organisers of the <strong>Hali Gali festival<\/strong> and the homonymous compilation gathering the most relevant young bands from Belgrade.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>KOIKOI: Psychedelic Rock and Electro Beats<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>KOIKOI<\/strong> is a four-member band from Belgrade that combines psychedelic rock with electronic beats, new wave sounds, and ethno\/folklore motifs. The band\u2019s members are Marko Grabe\u017e (vocals, guitar), Emilija \u0110or\u0111evi\u0107 (bass guitar, vocals), Ivana Miljkovi\u0107 (synths, vocals), and Ivan Pavlovi\u0107 Gizmo (drums and samples). They presented their debut single \u201c<strong>Sutra<\/strong>\u201c in 2019 and released their first album \u201c<strong>Pozivi u stranu<\/strong>\u201c for Moonlee Records last summer. The album has ever since collected positive reviews on the domestic and regional alternative scene. The band\u2019s recognisable musical influences vary from the British band <strong>The XX<\/strong>, through <strong>Darkwood Dub<\/strong> and <strong>Petrol<\/strong>, all the way to <strong>Chromatics<\/strong> and <strong>DIIV<\/strong>, while their sound is described as \u201cthe most tempting different form of pop, with a radio sensibility and rock toughness, always wearing a veil of hypnotic Balkan melodies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"AGELAST SESSION: KOIKOI\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bhuB5aCl1ts?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>They had their first regional tour as part of the album\u2019s promotion. They visited Skopje and Ljubljana and performed at the <strong>Europavox<\/strong> and <strong>HaliGali<\/strong> festivals in Zagreb and Belgrade, respectively.
